What can Spill Hound® do for me?
Spill Hound® is FAST - When compared with conventional clay-based absorbents (kitty litter), Spill Hound® is approximately 5 times faster to achieve a safer floor surface.
Spill Hound® is EASY - The Spill Hound® Recycling Centre provides everything you need to handle an oil spill. The centre is mobile and is easily deployed to the spill location.
Spill Hound® is ECONOMICAL - in controlled comparative laboratory tests between clay-based absorbents and Spill Hound®, a measured oil spill required 33 times more clay absorbent than Spill Hound® in order to clean up the spill.
Spill Hound® is RECYCLABLE - Spill Hound® is typically used between 6 and 8 times before it is finally exhausted. The Spill Hound® Recycling Centre incorporates a recycling filter which allows all unused Spill Hound® to be re-used.
Spill Hound® is ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE - Due to the small amount of Spill Hound® required to clean up an oil spill, considerably less waste material is generated. That can mean LESS landfill. LESS waste disposal charges.
Spill Hound® is 100% DUSTLESS - Unlike some of the cheap alternatives, Spill Hound® is fully engineered to be 100% dust free. Many of the conventional absorbents (clay based, kitty litter etc) and the new wave of 'environmentall friendly' absorbents (cotton linters, coir fibre, shredded paper, sawdust) are extremely dusty in use. Their suppliers refer to 'nuisance dust' but this can significantly understate the problem. Airborne dust can cause serious discomfort, especially to staff who are asthmatic, who are ex-smokers, or who have other breathing difficulties. In some cases, the dust from the absorbent is more of a hazard than the spill itself, requiring an approved respirator or face mask just to handle a simple oil spillage. Fine dust can also represent a major problem for companies involved in the manufacture of equipment which utilises precision hydraulic assemblies. Spill Hound® is 100% DUST FREE and can be used with absolute confidence by all staff members.
